Farm boss Lee Lashenko was full of praise for his side as they ran out comfortable winners in this top four clash at The Creek.
“I’m delighted with the character the team showed after going a goal behind – what a time to pull out the best all-round performance of our season so far” purred Lashenko.
Winchester City were 1-0 up after 10 minutes when Dan Williamson, in acres of space, drilled a low shot under the advancing Ashley Clarke.
The home side levelled five minutes later when Troy Simpson held off a strong challenge to place a neat shot wide of Ryan Price.
Manor Farm scored on the stroke of half time to take a 2-1 lead into the break – Lloyd Mills rising highest from a corner to guide a header into the top corner.
The home side kept the pressure up throughout the second half – driven forward by the impressive Jay Adams – and it was the Farm midfielder who got on the end of a great Jordan Metters cross on 73 minutes to nod bravely home from close range.
Three minutes later Farm put the game beyond doubt when Lloyd Mills claimed his second goal of the game, cooly volleying home in a crowded penalty box.
