New Signing: Stuart Tovey

█ Bristol Manor Farm Sign Seasoned Right-Back Stuart Tovey from Larkhall Athletic

Bristol Manor Farm are delighted to announce that we have signed experienced Southern League defender Stuart Tovey.

Stuart has great experience playing at our level, playing for teams like Paulton Rovers, Chippenham Town and, most recently, Larkhall Athletic. We’re glad to have him onboard to strengthen our team for the 2017/18 season.

Stuart has already played in friendlies this season for Manor Farm but now we can officially announce him.

This signing is our fifth of the season, coming after Lewis Powell, Steve Kingdon, Josh Dempsey and Simon Gilbert to form our strong squad. We hope all of the Farmy Army give him a warm welcome!

Manor Farm Away for Opener – Finish the Season Hosting Salisbury

█ The 2017/18 Southern League West fixtures have been released

13th of July 2017

Bristol Manor Farm begin our first ever Southern League season with a trip to North Leigh on the 12th of August, followed by our first home game where we’ll host Shortwood United on the 15th. After that we’ll travel to fellow Southern League West new-comers, Kidlington on the 28th of August.

After that we’ll host old friends Larkhall Athletic, who we’ll also be travelling to for the Boxing Day fixture. New Years Day has us hosting Paulton Rovers.

For the end of the season we’ll be hosting Barnstaple Town on the 14th of April, who we are very familiar with, before two tough games where we first travel to Taunton Town on the 21st of April and finally, the final game of the season, where we’ll host league runner-ups Salisbury at the Creek on the 28th of April.

All fixtures are subject to change of course but so far we’re confident we can make a mark in the Southern League West. A tough start and a tough end to the season but all-in-all a kind fixture list for us.

We hope to see as many of the Farmy Army as possible down The Creek for next season!

New Signings: Josh Dempsey and Simon Gilbert

New signing Josh Dempsey

Manager Lee Lashenko has made his final signings ahead of the 2017/18 season, bringing in Goalkeeper Josh Dempsey and Attacking Midfielder Simon Gilbert.

Both players bring plenty of experience with them. Josh Dempsey has played for Yate Town, Larkhall Athletic, Oldland Abbotonians, Chippenham and Cadbury Heath in the past and Simon Gilbert has Yate Town and Larkhall Athletic as well as Odd Down and Weston-Super-Mare. Welcome to these two new players!

“We’re happy with the squad we have now, and confident we can challenge in the Southern League. All that remains now is making sure we’re prepared before the start of the season.”Lee Lashenko

Josh and Simon join Steve Kingdon and the returning Kye Holly to make up our four new signings, and with players signing back on the squad is now complete. If you want to see the new and old players in action, our first home game of the pre-season will be entertaining Bristol City on the 9th of July, more news of that can be found here.

New Signing: Steve Kingdon

Bristol Manor Farm can confirm the signing of centre-back Steve Kingdon from Tiverton Town. With this signing, Steve Kingdon becomes the second newest signing for us on-top of Striker Lewis Powell joining from Weston-Super-Mare.

Looking to further strengthen our squad, manager Lee Lashenko has swooped in to sign Steve Kingdon, former Taunton Town and Tiverton Town Captain. With lots of big teams looking to sign Steve, we are very glad he has decided to commit to Bristol Manor Farm for the 2017/18 season as we head in to our first season of the Southern League. This signing, on top of players like Ashley Clarke, Lloyd Mills, and Martin Stowell returning to The Creek, gives Manor Farm an excellent and strong defensive line to build on.

“Steves professionalism and experience was a big factor in us going for him. The rest of the team will benefit greatly from having him in the defensive line so we’re glad we could get him.”Lee Lashenko

Before captaining Tiverton and Taunton, Steve Kingdon came from Bristol Rovers youth ranks before being promoted to the senior team and then joining Clevedon Town for three seasons. He helped Taunton Town achieve their highest ever Southern League finish as captain and, last season, helped Tiverton Town win the play-offs against competition such as former team Taunton Town and Salisbury to achieve promotion to the Southern League Premier Divison.

So lets all give a big welcome from the Farmy Army to Steve Kingdon as we look forward to seeing him in red next season for the Farm!

First New Signing of the Season: Lewis Powell

We’ve made our first new signing of the season (not counting Kye Hollys return), and it’s striker Lewis Powell who is joining us from National League side Weston-Super-Mare. Lewis has played in the Southern League before for Yate Town, as well as playing for Western League side Bitton AFC.

“Lewis has been on our radar for a while and it’s great to be able to get him for the club. His past in the Southern League will be an asset and we know that a few clubs were in for him so we’re glad he has decided to join us. We’re sure it will be a boost for the whole squad.”Lee Lashenko

Lewis is now the 13th player confirmed for our 2017/18 squad and, with a lot more in the works, next season is shaping up to be a good one.

Jake Cox Signs On For Next Season

Jake Cox, pictured above, controlling the midfield against Sherborne Town.

Experienced midfielder Jake Cox is the latest person to join a growing list of players committing to the club for next season.

Jake has played for a variety of teams including many years at Yate Town as well as a brief stint at Mangotsfield and Taunton Town. Fans will surely be glad to see him back at The Creek next season as he played a key role in the midfield, especially at the start of the season, that helped contribute to our long unbeaten streak in all competitions and paved the way for a dominant Toolstation Western League Championship win.

Jake started 37 games last season and managed an impressive 15 goals from the midfield for us and will surely be looking to build on that in the Southern League, knowing he’ll have tough competition for that starting spot.

This makes Jake the twelfth Manor Farm player to join the 2017/18 squad, you can see the rest of those signings HERE. He certainly won’t be the last as well as manager Lee Lashenko is working around the clock to fortify our squad for next season so make sure to check for updates here or at the Manor Farm Twitter page at @ManorFarmFC.
